Work starts painting iconic QEII Bridge

A Jackson team has started work on a multi-year programme to paint the QEII bridge at Dartford, on behalf of Connect Plus.
The specialist crews are working at night during the first phase to overcoat exposed areas to provide a protective layer to the bridge’s exterior.
They work from underdeck maintenance gantries beneath the bridge to access the work areas. Jackson is working with supply chain partners Taziker on the project with the first phase due to be completed by the end of October.
Further to this year’s works the wider project team is looking at improving access to these areas and developing working methods for future years works.
