Commercial Support Assistant

Location: Ipswich

Due to continued growth, we now have a part time role available as a Commercial Support Assistant working at our Head Office in Ipswich. This role will be for 22.5 hours per week, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm. The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Commercial team and carry out commercial and financial functions.

Key Responsibilities

Setting up of new Subcontractors and verify new plant companies when requested
Check, update and save Insurances & Vendor Assessments
CIS verification of new Subcontractors
Issue of Labour only subcontract orders to Subcontractors
Update and help maintain the Subcontract Order Tracker on SharePoint
Chase unsigned orders from Subcontractors
Chase Commercial Managers to sign underhand contracts
Return signed Subcontract Orders via email to Subcontractors and Sub-contract payment and CIS administration
Save executed orders
Verify and update bank details

Skills Required

We are looking for someone who has exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, who is organised with good time management.
They will need to be forward thinking, beyond the given task along with having a flexible approach and not afraid to ask questions.
The successful candidate must be proactive and have a good experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Some previous experience in the construction industry would also be desirable but not essential for the role.
