Senior Engineer

Due to increased workload we are now recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer for our Highways Division working around the M25. This is a permanent role and there will be a need to work nights and weekends when required (overtime and uplift will be paid).

Main Duties

  • Undertake day to day setting out duties
  • Train, manage and mentor trainee engineers
  • Manage and monitor all site sample / performance testing requirements and maintain records in line with the contract specification.
  • Complete hazard / risk assessments and method statements
  • Manage the site service plans/ drawings
  • Issue permits accordingly
  • Assist the site QS / Project Manager with providing the relevant information for records and claims purposes.
  • Monitor and control temporary works.
  • Develop and maintain relations with client, suppliers and sub-contractors.
Are you the person we are looking for?

We are seeking a proactive problem solver, with the ability to find quick, innovative and practical solutions. You must have the capability of using your own initiative without supervision and able to organise and prioritise your workload.

The ideal candidate will have experience in programming and planning upcoming works, completing RAMs, ITPs, RFIs and QA paperwork as well as knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD and MS Project. Previous Highways experience would be needed for this position.
