Jackson’s parent company One Group Construction has won Suffolk’s Large Business of the Year Award.
In a report published in the East Anglian Daily Times, ‘A commitment to corporate social responsibility was recognised by judges’ when they visited the Group’s HQ, which is also shared with Jackson, and sister company SEH French.
Jackson is the largest subsidiary of One Group Construction, which is a collection of construction related businesses, offering a variety of services to the construction sector. Operating from more than 20 offices in the UK, the group’s activities reach as far as North Yorkshire, employing over 500 people with a turnover of around £160m each year.
The judges said: “This group of construction related businesses has gone from strength to strength in recent years, acquiring another Suffolk company, SEH, in 2014 and showing strong profit growth, particularly in 2017.”
“The company’s title reveals some of the secrets of its success, as being part of one united group means companies have the advantage of shared experiences, common aspirations and a supportive culture”
“The judges were particularly impressed by the dynamic leadership and ambition, with each division maintaining enough autonomy to operate as a business in its own right while sharing centralised services and operating towards clearly defined targets and key performance indicators.”
One Group’s Chief Executive, Richard Neall said: “We’re thrilled to have won this award – our success is testament to the dedication of our staff across the group, and I’m delighted that our hard work has been recognised.”

Jackson’s parent company One Group Construction has reported strong results in its latest set of accounts, and brings to market a brand new offering, SEH French Building.
Chief Executive Richard Neall said: “We’ve had a great year of trading and all our subsidiaries have performed strongly. More importantly, we’ve built some great schemes, and had fun in the process.”
“Our success in 2016 was down to a number of factors – the market in general was good, and we were lucky to work with some great clients during the year, but fundamentally, our people have always been the key to our success. We have fantastic teams across the group working hard to ensure we’re winning the right work, with the right clients, and at the right price, and this focus is now paying dividends in terms of our profitability. I can’t thank our people enough for the dedication and hard work they put in every day, we’re really lucky to have them on board.”
Building on the successes of 2016, One Group Construction’s new offering, SEH French Building launched in May, undertaking small to medium sized building projects. Headed up by Managing Director John Ault, SEH French Building will undertake new builds, remodelling and alterations, conversions and extensions and will sit alongside sister brand SEH French Construction which undertakes larger scale commercial projects.
Richard explains: “We felt now was the right time to launch SEH French Building to cater for a gap in the market for smaller building projects. John is very well respected in his field, and his team come with over 100 years collective experience, enabling them to provide a comprehensive and unparalleled service to clients, all with the backing of a very strong parent company.”
