Jackson recently completed a £1.3m flood defence scheme in Cleethorpes, for North East Lincolnshire Council. The project included the construction of a new 70 metre Y shaped groyne using 13,000 tonnes of rock.
Two Jackson employees were recently granted ‘Commercial Drone Pilot’ status from the Civil Aviation Authority.
Jet Bielecka, PR & Marketing Manager, and Tim Honeyball, Senior Engineer, completed the challenging training course last month, and have now been granted a license to operate a drone for commercial purposes on behalf of Jackson and its sister company, One Group Construction.
Jet said: “We’ve had our eye on a drone for a while to improve our marketing content and we’re delighted to have been granted our license. It's not as easy as it looks, but our footage is improving all the time!"
"The drone gives us a perspective we just don’t get with any other type of film or photography, and they’re perfect for large construction sites. We've also started exploring its capabilities for aerial surveying, which is really exciting."
