Jackson recently joined the BuildForce alliance which offers mentoring and guidance to connect ex-service men and women with job opportunities within the construction industry.
The construction industry has a huge shortage of skilled workers and many of the 14,000 personnel that leave the Armed Forces each year have the kind of skills that are directly transferable and create a unique pool of talent for construction employers.
BuildForce is a collaborative, industry led programme supported by the Government that provides service leavers with the opportunity to have a career in construction.
The ambassador for BuildForce at Jackson is Richard Neall, he acts as the senior point of contact for the programme.
Chief Executive, Richard Neall, is Jackson’s ambassador for the programme. He said: “We’re really pleased to be supporting BuildForce. Our experience has shown us that culturally, the services and construction industries are well matched so we’re looking forward to helping ex-service men and women into careers within the construction industry and learning from them along the way.”
