Maidstone Gyratory project saves 74 seconds on daily commute

Jackson recently completed a £5.7m project to improve congestion around the Maidstone Gyratory for Kent County Council.

The project involved widening the existing carriageway and constructing two new lanes on the Gyratory to enable northbound drivers using the A229 to avoid the bridge system, saving an estimated 74 seconds on their daily commutes.

Live traffic proved to be a real challenge so the Jackson team worked round the clock, from June to December to ensure the project was completed on time.
